2020-10-28 11:26:53You are correct. It is generally taken that the indication to the RC would only be undertaken if there is a problem or change in circumstance that the RC needs to be made aware of.
As a RC, i have requested that at certain points, i want the Marshal that was deployed to come and give me thumbs up.

IMHO Rejoining the pack after the all is fine signal to RC is a somewhat risky maneuver. Slowing down then accelerating to rejoin the marshal pack with other marshals rejoining is looking for trouble. Perhaps only to be done if there is an issue that needs to be relayed to the RC. E.g. Pack split or lagging behind.
