4 – Road Marshal Training
Safety is the Marshal's Motto. To ensure that all Pack rides with H.O.G. are safe to embark on, the Marshals take care of us and ensure that the rides we travel on are kept safe and secure. The Marshal Training is for Riders that have shown riding ability and demonstrated commitment to the Chapter. The exisiting Marshal core meets monthly and is always on the lookout for members that they believe can contribute further to the Chapter. Once a rider has been identified and unanamously voted for, they are invited to join the Marshal Core to start their Jouney through the Ranks. Prospective riders start out as a Biker Buddy, giving them an initail responsibility and keeping them in a static position within the Pack to observe the Marshal movements. Once they have completed the Biker Buddy program, they can move into a Probationary Marshal Position where they will undergo Road Marshal Training. Once they have completed this and continually demonstarte an aptitude for Marshaling, the Marshal can then undertake Safety Officer or Road Captain Training. Positions carry varying responsibilities and all are required to work in conjuction with each other to keep the Pack safe.
